Late on Wednesday evening, Barcelona officially announced the signing of 18-year-old Argentine striker Lucas Roman, who will join their B team, coached by Rafa Marquez, in the RFEF First Division.

The Blaugrana have released an official statement to inform that Roman's contract runs until June 30, 2026, and includes a buyout clause of 400 million euros.

According to Ole, Barcelona acquired 85 percent of his rights from Club Ferro Carril Oeste for 1.1m euros, with the deal including an extra 3.5 million euros in the event that future objectives are fulfilled.

Club Ferro Carril Oeste will receive 65 percent of the aforementioned figure, while the rest will be divided between Roman, his family and his agent. The club will be also due to receive 15 percent of a potential future sale.

Roman was born in the Caballito neighborhood of Buenos Aires on February 10, 2004, and joined Club Ferro's youth academy at the age of seven.

Roman, who is an international with the Argentina youth sides, is left-footed and stands out for his versatility in attacking positions.
