The only royalty we are used to seeing in Bridgerton is Queen Charlotte herself, played by the brilliant Golda Rosheuvel. However, in reality one of the actors is a real life royal.

If you blinked you might have missed him, but the royal actor Louis Cunningham played Lord Corning: the baron Edwina danced with at Lady Danbury's ball in episode one of Bridgerton season two. Louis, 24, is actually the grandson of Prince Charles.

The late Prince Charles of Luxembourg that is. The budding actor made his debut on Netflix's hit regency TV show and has just been cast in another period drama.

With the royal genes and name already in tow, he will play Louis XVI in upcoming BBC drama series Marie Antoinette. The eight-part series will tell the story of the last Queen of France before the French Revolution.

Louis will appear alongside Emilia Schule (Marie Antoinette), Jasmine Blackborow and Jack Archer. The show has no confirmed release date but is expected in 2022 and will be available on BBC Two and iPlayer.

It is not known whether the royal actor will be taking up his small role of Lord Corning again in Bridgerton season three. Filming for next installation of the hit series is well underway in London.

Season three will focus on the love story between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). Last season, Colin broke Penelope's heart by saying he would never "dream" of courting her - but we are willing to see if changes his mind.
