Two stunning South Yarra mansions have hit the market in the space of a few days with eight-figure price hopes.
Renowned milliner and fashion designer Tamasine Dale has put her 1900s Federation home 9 Como Ave on the market for $15m-$16.5m, while ‘Martin House’ at 216 Domain Rd comes with even bigger price hopes at $21m-$23m.
Ms Dale has had her four-bedroom home for nearly 20 years, with CoreLogic records showing she paid $4.136m in 2004.

Manicured gardens are set beside a circular driveway leading up to the front porch, where decorative leadlight windows are found in the entrance and surrounding windows.
Ms Dale is based in Melbourne and Paris, with her work previously featuring in the National Gallery of Victoria, in addition to magazines including Vogue Australia and Italy, and Harper’s Bazaar.
She is married to designer Gary Theodore, who founded fashion label Scanlan Theodore with Fiona Scanlan.
Expressions of interest for the luxe 1635sq m property end November 22.
Martin House, designed by late architect Marcus Martin, is already one of the suburb’s most expensive homes after last selling for $20,349,849 in 2019, according to CoreLogic.
Several of Martin’s properties including 5 Linlithgow Rd and 2 Lascelles Ave, Toorak, are on the Victorian Heritage Register.
It was renovated by multi award-winning architects Powell & Glenn and has Jack Merlo-designed gardens.
Other impressive features include a rooftop gym that opens to a 55sq m terrace with “fantastic” city views, a lobby with a custom-made marble bar, and a garden room.
Public records list the owner as Vicfam Pty Ltd.
A Laverton North-based business named Vicfam Plastics is part of the Victor Smorgon Group.
Today, the family’s estimated combined wealth is more than $2.7bn.
Prestige Homes of Victoria South Yarra principal Sean Cussell declined to comment on the vendor but said the renovation had just wrapped up after about 2.5 years.
“It’s essentially a brand-new house inside,” Mr Cussell said.
“The package that’s on offer is extremely difficult to replicate.”
Expressions of interest close at 5pm on December 9.
An eight-bedroom mansion at 44-48 Marne St set South Yarra’s existing house price record when it sold for $36m in 2018.
